Education Facilities

JN was responsible for the engineering design of the three storey laboratory and research Centre for Carbon, Water and Food, for the Facility of Agriculture of the University of Sydney. This project included significant structural engineering design, as well as civil engineering, and building services engineering. The design also involved a new carpark and extensive upgrades to the electrical and hydraulic infrastructure to the whole campus. The building is powered by a gas generation plant and is the largest in the Camden campus.

JN successfully delivered this project alongside DWP Suiters Architects and Cockram Constructions.

The Centre provides evidence based teaching and research in global change biology, sustainability and sustainable ecosystems, focusing on developing options for the management of rural land, both public and private, that keep people in rural landscapes.
