Reporting to the Associate Hydraulic Engineer - Sydney CBD you will lead detailed Hydraulic & Fire building services design and documentation on a diverse range of projects.
As the Senior Hydraulic Design Engineer, your responsibilities will consist of:
• Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders as necessary;
• Ensure successful delivery of projects;
• Produce, review and check designs in accordance with relevant design standards and codes;
• Deliver design calculations, reports and drawings under limited supervision;
• Provide Hydraulic and coordinated MEP design delivery to clients as necessary;
• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment;
• Prepare project briefs, scopes of work and fees;
• Mentor junior team members
Your experience will include:
• A relevant qualification in Certificate IV in plumbing drainage and gas fitting;
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the Building Services industry within a consultancy;
• Proficiency and/or knowledge with wet fire systems: hydrants, hose reels and sprinkler system design;
• It would be preferred to be FPAS Accredited;
• Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Code;
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across disciplines, including colleagues and clients; and
• A positive and proactive approach to work and to building relationships within the team and the business.
