Reporting to the Associate Electrical Engineer, you will lead detailed electrical building services design and documentation on a diverse range of projects.

As the Senior Electrical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will consist of:

• Producing detailed design of Electrical Schematics, Lighting, Power, Communications, dry fire and Security systems;

• Sound knowledge of using PowerCAD and AGi32/Dialux softwares;

• Professional use of Bluebeam;

• Deliver design calculations, specifications, reports and drawings under limited supervision;

• Produce and review designs in accordance with the relevant design standards and codes;

• Understand the importance of coordination with other trades;

• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment;

• Respect and follow organisation Quality Assurance procedures and policies to ensure fairly consistent documentation;

• Attend client facing meetings to discuss any design related issues and maintain client satisfaction.

• Strong project management skills

• Understanding of budgets and profitability targets

Your experience shall include:

• A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering;

• A minimum of 5 years’ local experience working within the Building Services sector in Australia;

• Proficiency and/or knowledge of Electrical design of power, fire and smoke detection and lighting and a willingness to learn these services;

• Familiar with NBN/Ausgrid/Endeavour Energy/Essential Energy applications and requirements;

• A positive and proactive approach to work and to building relationships within the team and the business.

Additional desirable experience:

• Industrial Electrical design;

• Commercial fit-out design;

• Residential Electrical design;

• Dry fire systems design;

• Understanding of PV system design and Electric Vehicle Chargers.

We enjoy monthly Accrued Days Off (ADO's) and as voted by the JN Team, we work in the office Monday, Thursday and Friday with flexibility to work from home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
