Based in our Sutherland office, you will be given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of remedial engineering, which includes investigating and repairing remedial and structural building defects in the residential and commercial building space.

As a Senior Remedial Design Engineer, you will be responsible to:

  • Attend client and stakeholder design meetings, site investigations and diagnosis of building defects;
  • Produce, review and check designs in accordance with relevant design standards and codes, preparing technical site reports, building condition reports and building defects reports;
  • Preparing detailed project plans, including budgets, time forcasts and resource planning, preparing scope of works documents, design drawings, tender and contract documentation;
  • Preparation and submission of tenders and proposals, managing projects on-site and inspect remedial works.
  • Provide a comprehensive remedial design service to clients;
  • Building Key client relationships, liaising with Clients and Contractors to build relationships and business growth initiatives;
  • Manage numerous projects to programme and budget, preparing fee proposals and meeting minute documents,;
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment, producing, reviewing, and checking designs and specifications in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Codes under limited supervision,
  • Mentor junior team members.

Your experience will include:

  • An Engineering degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate remedial engineering consultancy experience or considerable experience in the construction industry, including waterproofing and concrete repair;
  • Chartered Structural Engineer or close to achieving Chartered status;
  • Experience with the Strata and residential industry or working on construction projects,
  • A self-motivated, technically strong and competent individual able to work independently and also lead and direct a group of engineers and drafters;
  • Able to build and maintain effective client relationships; and
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

We have monthly accrued days off (ADO's) as well as working on a hybrid model of Monday, Thursday and Friday in the office with the flexibility to work from home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
