Reporting to the Building Services Manager- Sydney CBD you will lead detailed Hydraulic & Fire building services design and documentation on a diverse range of projects.
As the Associate Hydraulic & Fire Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Attending client and stakeholder design meetings;
• Managing key projects and coordinating both Hydraulic and MEP design delivery;
• Leading tenders and proposals;
• Obtaining and preparing detailed project plans, including budgets, time forecasts and resource planning;
• Building key client relationships; and
• Growing and developing a Hydraulic & Fire design team.
Your experience will include:
• A relevant qualification with a Hydraulic Diploma;
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience working within the Building Services industry, ideally within a consultancy;
• Experience with hot and cold water, sewer and gas design;
• Experience with wet fire systems: hydrants, hose reels and sprinkler system design;
• It would be preferred to be FPAS Accredited;
• Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Code;
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary project teams;
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across disciplines, including colleagues and clients; and
• A personable work approach and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
