Based in our Sutherland Head Office and reporting to the Managing Director, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager for this key leadership role. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and efficient financial processes, integrated with an overview of all systems and processes as aligned with a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm.
As an integral part of the organisation, you will play a crucial role in driving excellence, streamlining procedures, and maintaining strong financial controls. This role requires a strategic thinker, who possess exceptional organisational skills, working with a number of high performing teams across various business and functional divisions.
As the Commercial Manager, the role is part of our Senior Leadership Team - and you will be responsible for:
• Lead the Business Operations team effectively to ensure a supportive environment encouraging collaboration and growth;
• Financial operations are managed to provide clear reporting and analysis, while meeting all compliance obligations and successful management of cash flow;
• Ensuring the Business Operations teams are operating efficiently, with appropriate process and procedures in place;
• Guidance is provided to ensure contracts, leases, and other legal documentation are compliant and maintained effectively;
• Processes are regularly reviewed and revised in consultation with each department; and
• Ensuring your teams are working cohesively with lines of communication open across the business.
Your experience will include:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field;
• Previous experience as Operations/Finance Senior Leader;
• Strong financial acumen;
• Excellent Leadership skills;
• Sound knowledge of administrative operations, office management, and procurement processes;
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities;
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
• Minimum 10 years’ experience; and
• Ideally experience in a similar environment.
