As the Billing Officer, you will be based in our Sutherland office and work closely with the Finance Manager and Administration and Facilities Manager.
You will be responsible for:
• Invoicing of client projects, working closely with the broader administration team and Project Engineers for timely and accurate invoice issuance;
• Assisting with debt collection - Contacting debtors, requesting payments, assisting with invoice queries, maintaining documentation, and organising options to recover outstanding debts;
• Build relationships with JN clients to reduce payment friction by maintaining accurate records of interactions with clients;
• Play a key role in the implementation and ongoing improvement of JN’s Invoicing initiatives to maintain and reduce delinquent payment terms;
• Day-to-day maintenance and administration of the Synergy accounts against each active billable project;
• Building strong working relationships with senior Engineer’s to achieve efficient and accurate invoice generation to reduce billing errors;
• Fostering and promoting a positive work environment and team culture;
• Some travel to other offices around Sydney may be required; and
• Assisting with ad hoc finance related task sas needed.
Your experience will include:
• Three years experience with proven success in a similar role;
• Completion or studying towards a relevant Accounting qualification;
• Any Synergy Project Management software experience would be ideal!;
• Proactive and positive attitude;
• Excellent verbal and written communication; and
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
We enjoy monthly Accrued Days Off (ADO's) and as voted by the JN Team, we work in the office Monday, Thursday and Friday with flexibility to work from home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
