Based in our Sutherland Office, you will be reporting to the Associate Structural Engineer where you will be given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of concept and detailed design and documentation on a diverse range of projects, whilst taking responsibility for your projects expanding your portfolio.

As a Senior Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible to:

• Attend client and stakeholder design meetings;

• Produce, review and check designs in accordance with relevant design standards and codes;

• Preparing details project plans, including budgets, time forcasts and resource planning;

• Preparation and submission of tenders and proposals;

• Provide a comprehensive structural engineering design service to clients;

• Building Key client relationships;

• Manage numerous projects to programme and budget;

• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment; and

• Mentor junior team members.

Your experience will include:

• Engineering degree in structural or civil engineering;

• Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate engineering consultancy experience;

• Chartered Structural Engineer or close to achieving Chartered status;

• A self-motivated, technically strong and competent individual able to work independently and also lead and direct a group of engineers and drafters;

• Able to build and maintain effective client relationships; and

• Excellent communication and report writing skills.

We enjoy monthly Accrued Days Off (ADO's), and as voted by the JN Team, we work in the office Monday, Thursday and Friday with flexibility to work from home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
