Our expertise extends across each of the major engineering disciplines, from Building Services to Structural, Civil and a significant number of sub-disciplines, including Traffic engineering, Sustainable engineering and Remedial Work.

In QLD, our employees work from home, and as an Associate Civil Engineer, you can be based anywhere in Australia with the expectation that you will be available to travel to South East Queensland (where the majority of our team and clients are based) on at least a quarterly basis, or when the need arises.

Reporting to the QLD Managing Director, you will be given the opportunity to lead Queensland's Civil team. You will be involved in and manage all aspects of concept and detailed civil design and documentation on a diverse range of projects, whilst taking responsibility for your projects and your team.

As the Associate Civil Engineer, you will be responsible to:

• Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders as necessary;

• Have an ability to think strategically;

• A willingness to go “the extra mile”;

• Extensive technical, product and industry knowledge;

• Be skilled in leading, managing, coaching and mentoring a team;

• Produce, review and check designs in accordance with relevant design standards and codes;

• Deliver design calculations, reports and drawings;

• Provide a comprehensive civil engineering design service to clients;

• Ensure successful delivery of projects;

• Manage numerous projects to program and budget;

• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment;

• Prepare project briefs, scopes of work and fees;

Your experience will include:

• Engineering degree in civil engineering;

• Minimum ten year’s post-graduate engineering consultancy experience;

• Chartered Civil Engineer or close to achieving Chartered status;

• RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer QLD), NSW Professional Engineer and Design Practitioner and/or VIC Professional Engineer Registration or be able to achieve;

• A self-motivated, technically strong and competent individual able to work independently and also lead and direct a team of engineers and drafters;

• Able to build and maintain effective client relationships;

• Excellent communication and report-writing skills;

• Road design in accordance with Austroads and best practice. Geometric design and pavement engineering;

• Competency and solid experience with our preferred software packages: 12d, HEC-RAS, SIDRA, DRAINS, MUSIC, Autotrack, and CIRCLY.

We have adopted a Banked Hours policy where time off in lieu (TOIL) is accrued to enable a flexible one day off per month.
