Reporting to the Building Services Manager you will be given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of concept and detailed mechanical building services design and documentation on a diverse range of projects.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:

• Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders as necessary;

• Produce, review and check designs in accordance with relevant design standards and codes;

• Deliver design calculations, reports and drawings;

• Attend client and stakeholder design meetings as necessary;

• Manage numerous projects and coordinate both mechanical and MEP design delivery;

• Assist with tenders and fee proposals;

• Assist with preparing project briefs, including budgets, time forecasts and resource planning;

• Help with growing and developing the mechanical design team;

• Mentor junior team members.

Your experience will include:

• A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering;

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the Building Services industry;

• Strong understanding of Chilled Water, VRF and Heat Recovery Systems;

• Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Code;

• Experience with working in multi-disciplinary project teams is desirable;

• Excellent communication and report writing skills;

• Greenstar or NatHERS accreditation or proven ongoing commitment to innovative sustainability measures would be beneficial but is not required.

Work in a friendly office based near Wynyard station in the heart of the CBD.

We enjoy monthly Accrued Days Off (ADO's) and as voted by the JN Team, we work in the office Monday, Thursday and Friday with flexibility to work from home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
