Designed by an award winning team of Innovate Architects and Sammut Developments, The Banc project is a landmark architectural fusion of old and new. The project incorporated modern design elements to the heritage-listed Art Deco Commonwealth Bank building in Cronulla to create a luxury residential, commercial and hospitality complex. JN provided  Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic engineering services, with all designs modelled in Revit for a 3D BIM coordinated model.

The Banc now hosts a three-level basement with car stacker, ground floor hospitality spaces, first floor commercial suites and two residential levels. The team developed designs that ensured the existing Art Deco structure was well supported during excavation and construction, preventing any damage to the heritage listed site. Our Building Services engineers also considered visual elements in their designs such as exposed mechanical ventilation, that enhanced the charm of this modernised Art Deco building.
