JN Engineering delivered electrical engineering services for the recent upgrade of the Yeo Park amenities building at Ashfield, creating modern, accessible public facilities for the community.
The project involved refurbishment of the existing amenities building, including delivery of a National Construction Code (NCC) compliant accessible adult change facility. Located next to the inclusive playground, the upgraded facility was designed to provide convenient access for users of all abilities.
Integrating a modern, fully accessible facility within an existing building, while working within an active public park environment, required coordination of design, budget, and operational needs. Our team worked closely with stakeholders throughout to keep the project aligned with these objectives.
We provided electrical engineering design and advisory services throughout the planning, design, and procurement phases of the project, including concept design development, planning and approvals management, and design documentation through to 80% for the D&C tender, along with tender support.
Our responsibilities began with site investigations and a review of existing project documentation, from which we developed electrical engineering concept designs to support the proposed upgrades. These concept design solutions informed project planning and stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with the project’s objectives.
Following concept design approval, we developed detailed electrical designs and documentation for tender and construction, including:
· staged design documentation
· electrical services layouts
· technical specifications
· contributions to the project’s Safety in Design process.
During procurement, our team provided technical support throughout the tender process, responding to contractor requests for information to ensure compliance.
Throughout all project phases, we worked closely with the client and project stakeholders to deliver practical, compliant, and cost-effective electrical engineering solutions, supporting the successful refurbishment of the building.
