Common Defects in Property

Did you know that a recent study by the NSW Government has found that around 39% of strata buildings in NSW have experienced serious defects within common property? Serious defects generally led to significant financial and emotional stress for homeowners, tenants and strata managers.

Recent building regulations introduced in NSW, including the recently amended Design and Building Practitioner’s Act 2020, mean that Class 2 residential apartment buildings require certain remedial building work to be designed by a registered Design Practitioner (Consultant/Engineer), and the designed works must be carried out by a registered Building Practitioner (Builder).

JN are delighted to have a team of registered Design Practitioners who can prepare regulated designs and scope of works for remedial building repairs. JN also work closely with recommended Building Practitioners who can carry out the regulated design repairs. JN can then supervise and certify the repair works upon completion.

If you have any serious defects affecting your property, please reach out the to team at JN who are more than happy to assist!
