Horizon Convention Centre

Sutherland

In the heart of Sutherland sits the Horizon Convention Centre (formerly known as Shirelive), an 1,100-seat auditorium engineered for the specific requirements of the Pentecostal Horizon Church. JN provided all engineering services required for this high-profile project, which that included main auditorium and stage, and a number of ancillary rooms, a café and basement carpark.

The place of public entertainment (POPE) requirements for the building created many engineering challenges which needed to be resolved within the client’s particular requirements and budget. JN worked with Couvaras Architects to realise Shirelive’s vision for the venue, including a mechanically operated baptismal font set into the stage and a highly specialised lighting and ventilation system.
