As The Push-Up Challenge comes to its close, we are thrilled to celebrate and applaud the remarkable efforts of the JN team. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, donated and supported us. It’s been an incredible journey of team camaraderie and determination, with plenty of laughs along the way, and we are proud of what we have accomplished together.
Participating in The Push-Up Challenge allowed JN to raise awareness and funds for mental health, supporting Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland’s critical crisis intervention services. We stand in solidarity with the dedicated individuals who provide essential and oftentimes first-response support. Thanks to the dedication of our team and the incredible support we received, we raised over $5,000 for Lifeline.
“I’m delighted to see the JN team come together so solidly to get involved. We want our team to always feel comfortable talking about their mental health and the Push-Up Challenge was a creative and interactive way to remind everyone of this. We are immensely proud of all our team.”
– GREG CHAMBERS, Managing Director
A Journey of Dedication, Strength and a Few Groans
From the very beginning, our team embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and determination. From attempting push-ups in business attire (turns out ties or heels and push-ups don’t mix!) to up-close inspections of the office carpet weave, the journey was filled with memorable moments. A couple of team members found out that dogs make excellent push-up coaches, barking encouragement (or was that laughter?) at every rep.
In early June, we kicked off the challenge with morning team sessions where JN team members from three offices came together to start their push-up game and enjoy a well-earned breakfast. These mornings were a mix of energy, laughter, and determination of spirit. In just those first two days, we powered through over 6,500 push-ups!
The team’s commitment never wavered, even when our arms felt like jelly! As the days went by, our team continued to show remarkable dedication and perseverance, finding time to do their push-ups wherever and however they could:

“It was great to see the JN team get together for a great cause to raise awareness for mental health. As a bonus, I can now do far more push-ups than I ever thought possible!”
– Amie James, Human Resources Manager
Pushing For Better
This challenge not only supported camaraderie and teamwork while improving our physical fitness but also aimed to support mental health. The funds raised will help Lifeline provide more training for their volunteers, expand their outreach programs, and enhance their crisis intervention capabilities.
Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland, our chosen charity, provides essential mental health support to the community with a focus on crisis intervention. Staffed by a team of dedicated volunteers and professionals, Lifeline offers immediate help to those experiencing personal crises or emotional distress. They are committed to supporting individuals who are dealing with mental health challenges, contemplating suicide, or undergoing severe emotional turmoil. Lifeline works tirelessly to destigmatise mental illness and enhance emotional well-being across the community.
At JN, we are proud to support Lifeline’s mission to save lives, offer comfort and empower individuals to face life’s challenges with resilience and dignity.
Our team’s top fundraiser, Anthony Mastromauro, perfectly sums up the importance of the initiative: “Participating in the push-up challenge meant a lot to me and so many others who did so with loved ones in mind who are personally impacted by mental health issues. It was great to be a part of raising awareness and much-needed funds for a very worthy cause. I’m deeply grateful for everyone’s support and generosity.”
